The Biggest Truck

by David Lyon

Published by Lothrop, Lee and Shepard, 1988

The Biggest Truck follows a truck driver and his truck as they get up after most people go to bed, and drive through the night to deliver strawberries to the market before morning.  Then, when the rest of the world is waking, the biggest truck and his driver arrive home to sleep.

The book is great for thinking about societal infrastructure, and what happens before food gets to the market.
