Good Night, Gorilla

Good Night Gorilla is a sweet story about a gorilla who steals the zookeeper’s keys, lets out all the animals as he’s telling them “goodnight.” All of the animals follow him home and get ready to sleep in his room. The zookeeper’s wife realizes that all the animals are in their room, brings them all back to the zoo and locks their cages…all except the gorilla who escapes again, and crawls into bed with them both.
This book is good for introducing humorous story elements and dramatic irony as well as identifying the animals that follow the zookeeper home.
