Yo! Yes?

By Chris Raschka

Published by Orchard Books, 1993

This book is about the initial encounter between two boys– one who wants to speak to and befriend the other. The other boy can’t believe the first boy is even talking to him– after all, he has no friends. In single words and full spreads, a friendship blooms by the end of the book.

This books is great for discussing the significance of just single words in conveying a message. How that word is used changes the meaning of the word.
